Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an entry‑level professional to support the Engineering team in Houston. The role combines office and field work to design safe, reliable, and cost‑effective power distribution solutions.

You will learn design tools, follow workflows, enter data accurately, and build a foundation in project requirements. You will work under regional leadership, participate in mentorship, and gain hands‑on experience across drawings, material lists, estimates, and requisitions while

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; some client projects may require an Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 0-2 years of experience in power distribution engineering, electrical craft work, or GIS/CAD-related work.

Responsibilities

  • Regular on-site attendance is required; remote work is not available.
  • Assist with development of project and job packages including drawings, material lists, estimates, and requisitions using company and client design software.
  • Prepare comprehensive project packages and utilize design software and work management tools.
  • Provide regular project status updates and build relationships with internal and external partners to meet timelines and objectives.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and mentorship from experienced team members and engineers.
  • Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
