Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age at time of written exam.
• High School Diploma / GED required; some college preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Peace Officer license certified by TCOLE or enrolled in accredited police academy.
• Honorable military discharge preferred.
• Pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screen.
• Pass a written exam, polygraph, psychological test, and fitness test.
• Texas Driver’s License and TCOLE license/certification required or in state equivalent.
• College transcript may be requested.

Responsibilities
