Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Junior Controls Engineer for an on-site position in Bridgeview, IL. The role focuses on PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and maintaining automated production equipment within a highly automated Chicago-area facility.

The candidate should have hands-on PLC experience (preferred) or strong technical education, with local candidates prioritized for this 1st-shift role. Overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• BS, AAS, or technical cert in controls or electrical required.
• 1+ years PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Candidates with strong education and limited field experience will be considered.
• Ability to read control schematics and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic systems on production lines and robotic cells.
• Adjust and troubleshoot PLC programs to diagnose equipment issues.
• Read, interpret, and redline wiring schematics and control drawings.
• Adjust machine parameters via HMI interfaces, VFDs, and servos.
• Install and inspect electrical conduit, raceway, and busbar per codes.
• Terminate connections and repair electrical and pneumatic components.
