Job summary
LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a Junior Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Bridgeview, IL. The position focuses on PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated production lines at a Chicago-area facility.
The ideal candidate has a technical background and hands-on PLC/electrical experience, with local candidates preferred for this day shift role. Training and growth within a stable manufacturer are offered.
Qualifications
- BS, AAS, or technical certifications in controls, electrical systems, or related field are required.
- 1+ years of hands-on PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Strong reading of control schematics and electrical drawings required.
- Familiarity with VFDs, servos, HMI interfaces, and industrial networks desirable.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems across production equipment and robotic lines.
- Adjust and troubleshoot PLC programs to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Read and interpret wiring schematics and control drawings.
- Install and inspect electrical conduit, raceway, and busbar systems per codes.
- Readiness to work with internal teams and external contractors.
