Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance is preferred, especially with heavy equipment and machines.
• Willingness to learn basic maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Ability to follow MSHA/OSHA safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before and after shifts and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components including belts, idlers, pulleys, and pumps.
• Perform structural repairs and welding with basic cutting/grinding equipment.
• Maintain service logs and lubrication reports for plant equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA regulations and locking/tagging procedures.
• Identify anomalies during operation and make minor adjustments.
