Job summary

Jenoptik is seeking an engineering professional in Huntsville to develop and sustain advanced manufacturing processes for silicon or glass MEMS devices. You will support wafer fabrication steps, photolithography, etching, metrology and related activities, working with senior staff to ensure robust production.

You will perform DOE studies, design mechanical components in SolidWorks, document processes, and perform root-cause analysis to improve yield and reliability, interfacing across functions

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials/ Physical Science, Optics, Electrical or related field.
• Prior work experience or internships in MEMS manufacturing, semiconductor or optical fabrication.
• U.S. Citizenship or Qualified U.S. worker.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for silicon or glass devices using wafer fabrication technologies.
• Execute Design of Experiments to support commercialization of the company technology.
• Perform mechanical designs using Solid Works.
• Create and maintain documentation to support engineering and production.
• Provide sustaining support of the production area and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Monitor process and equipment performance via inline SPC data.
• Support continuous improvement, TPM, cycle time reduction and yield enhancement.
• Develop manufacturable production flows for new products.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
