Thorlabs in Newton, NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will kit, assemble, and inspect photonics components, using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience or related technical education.
• Ability to read simple work Instructions and drawings.
• Familiarity with metrology devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Kitting and preparing components for production.
• Basic assembly of products using fasteners and epoxies.
• Perform visual and mechanical measurements with metrology devices.
• Ensure components meet quality standards with minimal scrap.
• Package products for next process step or delivery.
