Move Vertical is seeking entry-level phlebotomy and patient screening technicians to support patient care. You will collect blood specimens, obtain basic health information, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety and infection-control protocols.

The role involves direct patient interaction, specimen labeling, and data entry into electronic systems, with emphasis on professional communication and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current HIPAA training certificate required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program or documented phlebotomy training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional communication and patient-service skills.
• Comfortable working with blood, needles, and biological specimens.
• Ability to follow infection-control and safety procedures.
• National phlebotomy certification (preferred).
• Current BLS certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for specimen collection.
• Confirm patient identification and required documentation.
• Perform blood collection using established phlebotomy procedures.
• Label and prepare specimens accurately.
• Obtain basic patient information and vital signs when required.
• Maintain clean and organized collection areas.
• Follow infection-control and bloodborne-pathogen procedures.
• Enter patient and specimen information into electronic systems.
• Monitor inventory and restock basic supplies.
• Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff.
• Protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
