Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current HIPAA training certificate required.
• Completion of phlebotomy training program or documented phlebotomy training.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic record systems.
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication.
• Comfortable with blood, needles, and handling specimens.
• Ability to follow infection-control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for specimen collection.
• Confirm patient identification and required documentation.
• Perform blood collection using established phlebotomy procedures.
• Label and prepare specimens accurately.
• Obtain basic patient information and vital signs when required.
• Maintain clean and organized collection areas.
• Follow infection-control and bloodborne-pathogen procedures.
• Enter patient and specimen information into electronic systems.
• Monitor inventory and restock basic supplies.
