Job summary

Move Vertical seeks motivated candidates for entry-level Phlebotomy and Patient Screening Technician roles. The position involves interacting directly with patients, collecting blood specimens, maintaining records, and following safety procedures.

You will greet patients, verify documentation, perform phlebotomy, label specimens, and enter data into electronic systems while upholding HIPAA and infection-control standards. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program or documented phlebotomy training.
• Current HIPAA training certificate.
• Basic computer skills for entering patient/ specimen information.
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for specimen collection.
• Confirm patient identification and required documentation.
• Perform blood collection using established phlebotomy procedures.
• Label and prepare specimens accurately.
• Obtain basic patient information and vital signs when required.
• Maintain clean and organized collection areas.
• Follow infection-control and bloodborne-pathogen procedures.
• Enter patient and specimen information into electronic systems.
• Monitor inventory and restock basic supplies.
• Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff.
• Protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
