Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking an Entry-Level Phlebotomist / Lobby Experience Coordinator in Jacksonville, FL. You will greet patients, assist with check-in at the kiosk or handheld tablet, and help maintain a calm, supportive lobby environment while phlebotomy procedures are prepared and performed.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. It involves both lobby duties and collaboration with phlebotomy staff, with opportunities to grow phlebotomy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy experience required, even as intern/externship.
• Minimum 1–2 years of client-facing customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in at the lobby.
• Maintain waiting area and assist with breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Apply phlebotomy skills as you grow within the company.

Job: Entry-Level Phlebotomist

Duration: 4 Months

Shift: Eastern time. Monday-Friday 6:30-3:30pm. Rotational Saturdays once the PSR is ready.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS ARE REQUIRED - this is critical to the heart of the role

Job Summary

• The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion.


• The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.


• This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grown within the company.


• The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner.


• The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.


• The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.


• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.


• Maintain a safe and professional environment.


• Maintains required records and documentation.


• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills.

Job Requirements

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet


• Be willing to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered


• To perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED - no exceptions


• Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics

Work Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of client facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc).


• Some Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED


• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

This is primarily a Lobby Greeter position to help patients check in at the kiosk and to help them feel more comfortable while waiting to be called back for their labs to be run - Will fill in for breaks and cover for staffing shortages
