Job summary

Citi in New City, NY is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker SAFE Act to assist in sales and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role focuses on building relationships with individual consumer clients and supporting treasury product referrals.

You will work on small business credit referrals under $250K, grow through Centers of Influence, and help expand the Book of Business while coaching branch staff and ensuring compliance with Citi policies.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing small business lending requests under $250K and cross-sell related products.
• Develop referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the MGM program.
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement sales plans to target Book of Business customers.
• Deliver client services/outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships through cross-sell of products and services.
• Provide tellers and branch staff with coaching on products and programs, identifying client needs and making referrals.
• Educate clients on service channels and present financial solutions.
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards and procedures.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and reporting control issues with transparency.
