Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in San Rafael, CA is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker SAFE Act to assist in sales, products, and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role aims to foster customer relationships, build loyalty, and help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

You will support in handling loan referrals under $250K, promote digital channels, coach branch staff, and ensure compliance with Citibank policies while delivering excellent client experiences.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests under $250K, recognize/refer larger lending opportunities and cross sell treasury and related small business products.
• Build referral business opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the MGM Program.
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement sales plans for Book of Business customers.
• Deliver client services/outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships through cross-sell of products and services while delivering exceptional client experience.
• Provide Tellers and branch staff with coaching on products and programs, identifying client needs and referrals.
• Educate clients on service and digital channels and present product offers/financial solutions.
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards and procedures.
• Assess risk in business decisions with focus on Citigroup's reputation and safeguarding clients and assets.
