Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking an entry-level Production Technician for PCBA to support high-volume electronics assembly. You will operate PCB assembly machines, perform SMT placement, testing, and calibration, and help maintain production equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year hands-on work experience or vocational training/certification.
• 2+ years in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from layouts, drawings, procedures, schematics, and parts lists.
• Soldering proficiency; IPC/J-STD certification preferred.
• Experience setting up and running tests and experiments.

Responsibilities

• Operate PCB assembly machines (SMT placement, reflow, paste printing, conformal coating, masking, epoxy) and related processes.
• Run thermal and functional testing of electronic hardware; setup, instrumentation, testing, teardown, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and calibrate production equipment via preventative maintenance.
• Manage schedule priorities; work independently to meet deliverables.
• Document failure modes; use data to improve quality.
• Component kitting and measurement.
