Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County seeks a Patient Transporter to move patients, lab specimens and x-ray films across the campus in a timely, safe manner.

Shifts include early morning to evening times (6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM) with Monday–Friday schedules. Education: high school diploma or GED; no prior experience required; CPR/AED and Basic Life Support certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Transports and delivers patients, lab specimens, x-rays and medical items across hospital areas.
• Ensures patient safety protocols are followed during transport.
• Keeps transport equipment clean and functional.

Responsibilities

• Transports and lifts non-ambulatory patients, x-rays, medical records, specimens, and other items.
• Maintains clean and functional equipment.
• Completes assigned tasks within department expectations.
