Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a Transporter to join the Patient Transport Team. You will support patient movement for tests, admissions, discharges, and room transfers while delivering courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Shifts include day, mid, and night with full-time, part-time, and PRN options to fit student or pre-professional schedules. You will perform transports under nursing and ancillary direction, maintain safety, and participate in ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Must complete BCLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from diagnostic testing, room-to-room transfers, discharge and admission as directed by nursing and ancillary departments.
• Serves patients, visitors, physician offices, and nursing units with courteous service.

Job Description

The Transport Team provides service to the hospital 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We offer a variety of shifts to fit your school, social or pre‑professional schedule. Day Shift positions start between 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Mid Shift positions start at 3:00 p.m., and Night Shift positions start at 8:30 p.m.

Full‑time and part‑time positions are available with an every third weekend requirement.

PRN positions are available with an every other weekend requirement.

Responsibilities

Performs activities related to transportation of patients to and from diagnostic testing, room to room transfers, discharge, and admission as directed by nursing and ancillary departments. Serves the customer base in the facility such as: patients, visitors, physician offices, ancillary departments and nursing units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital/transport experience desirable.
• Must complete BCLS within 90 days of hire
