Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Healthcare terminology.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer's needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Answers telephones properly, courteously, and tactfully; directs calls and returns messages.
• Facilitates patient appointments and referrals in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Obtains demographic and insurance information and inputs data accurately.
• Obtains required signatures on consents and distributes information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and updates patient accounts.
• Prepares financial estimates of anticipated prices and communicates to patients.
• Collects all current and past-due balances before services.
• Performs daily reconciliation and cash out procedures and records payments.
• Prepares next day’s work for all scheduled patients.
