Job summary

Wonderful Citrus in Delano, CA is seeking an entry level Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment (Baggers, Printers, CSMA s, Weighers, Box Formers). You will learn and grow while assisting the team on maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include uptime/downtime inspections, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems, collaborating with operators, and documenting work in CMMS. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and three years or more of related experience and/or training in a production/manufacturing environment preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present general business items to groups of coworkers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and rotating/varying shifts, and be available for emergency call-out as needed

Responsibilities

• Ensures self and coworkers comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Provide and assist in the operation of packaging equipment (Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers, Box Formers)
• Perform uptime/downtime inspections and routine maintenance to ensure proper performance
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Collaborate with Operators to maximize equipment efficiency
• Assist training and development of operators and team members
• Create work requests and document work in CMMS
• Escalate issues to lead or supervisor as needed
• Assist with repairs and improvements to equipment
• Respond to bin jams and help with minor rebuilds of rollers
