Responsibilities

• Install, groom, test, and repair ship's major mechanical components and systems on commercial or naval ships.
• Operate a wide variety of tools and machinery including saws, drill presses, lathes, and other equipment.
• Work on ships in various stages of construction, overhaul, or repair.
• Assist with components like steam turbines, propellers, reactor components, and related systems.
