Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking a dedicated Horticulturist to join our Horticulture and Conservation crew in Charlotte, NC. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on training in scientific plant care and management in a safe, professional environment.

You will learn all aspects of horticulture on‑the‑job, adhere to safety policies, and support our team with plant nursery activities, pruning, transplanting, and care for rare plants. A driver’s license and readiness to work outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required or preferred.
• Degree preferred but not required; relevant horticulture experience considered.
• Prior gardening/landscape/horticulture experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn through on‑the‑job training to safely perform all aspects of horticulture.
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
• Demonstrate a passion for nature, environment and the outdoors.
• Comfort working outdoors in year‑round Carolina weather; uniforms provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Contribute to a multi‑disciplinary team with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Assist with inventorying and maintenance of plant collections as needed.
