Bartlett Tree Experts seeks an Arborist Climber Trainee in Wilmington, NC, to join our tree care crew. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in pruning, rigging, cabling, and safe equipment use within a safety-first culture.

You will work outdoors year-round on residential and commercial properties, with opportunities for advancement and access to Bartlett's training resources. Valid driver’s license is required; prior tree care is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• A love for nature and the outdoors.
• Willingness to work outside year-round in all weather.
• Valid driver's license.
• Positive attitude and ability to work on a team.
• Experience in tree care or related fields preferred but not required.
• Degree in arboriculture/forestry or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all arboriculture tasks.
• Climb trees, prune, rig, cabling/bracing, and remove hazardous trees.
• Identify trees and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Follow safety rules and company safety policies.
