Job summary

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston seeks an Ophthalmic Technician for an entry-level role. Under supervision, you will assist physicians, perform preliminary diagnostic tests, and maintain a professional clinical environment.

This full-time position offers free training, no nights or weekends, and opportunities to advance toward certification with JCAHPO within 24 months.

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience is not required. Training begins on day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! FREE TRAINING PROVIDED!
• 0-1 years of Ophthalmic Assistant experience; we will train.
• 1-2 years in a fast-paced environment.
• 1-2 years’ experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in gathering patient data and maintaining a clinical environment.
• Conduct visual acuity, visual field, lensometry, auto refractometry, refractometry, pupil assessment, EOM, tonometry.
• Maintain patient medical records and ensure efficient workflow.
• Participate in employer-sponsored training toward JCAHPO certification within 24 months.
