Job summary

Confluence Health seeks an entry-level Ophthalmic Technician I to assist Eye Doctors with technical services for patients. No prior experience is required as we provide training.

The role includes obtaining patient history, running diagnostic imaging, assisting with procedures, and supporting patient education in a busy Eye Care Center. Training is provided; travel to outreach areas is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with on-the-job training.
• MA-R licensure required and Surgical Technologist licensure required (WA).
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and confirm visit purpose.
• Perform basic vision tests as per exam type.
• Calibrate, maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments.
• Assist with in-office procedures (injections, lasers).
• Educate patients per physician protocol.
• Maintain ophthalmic coding knowledge and patient records.
