Southwire Company, LLC in North Carolina is seeking an entry-level Operator, Assembler to learn and perform basic packaging and assembly while advancing to higher-level positions as they become available.

The role requires a high school diploma, English literacy, ability to lift up to 45 lbs, and comfort with a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency with MS Excel, data entry and SAP are desirable. 1st shift, pay rate $18.72–$20.60.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.
• MS Excel, MS Word, Data Entry and SAP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work under supervision and maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor and peers through verbal instruction and reports.
• Ensure materials are properly packaged.
• Put scrap into the designated scrap bins.
• Read and comprehend production SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Set up equipment and ensure production materials are available.
