Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an entry-level nuclear engineer to perform thermal and hydraulic analyses in support of FORD Class reactor performance. The role includes learning analysis codes, executing analyses on high performance computing systems, and evaluating reactor plant performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related engineering or science field or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related engineering or science field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal and hydraulic analyses for reactor performance analyses.
  • Learn and use thermal/hydraulic analysis codes on high performance computing systems.
  • Support reactor core manufacturing and develop reactor system performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide routine and emergent support for the FORD Class Fleet.
