Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ is seeking an entry‑level Mixed-Methods Analyst Assistant to support research and evaluation for missionary training at the MTC. You will assist in study design, data collection, and translating findings into actionable insights to improve the missionary experience.

You will work with Research & Evaluation staff to conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups, and contribute to transparent reporting and program improvements in a collaborative, learning-focused team

Qualifications

• Coursework or experience in research methods (minimum 2 years or equivalent).
• Experience with quantitative (R, Stata, SPSS) and qualitative (MAXQDA) data analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Completion of research ethics training (CITI) prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Research Support: Refine research questions and study designs; support or conduct focus groups, observations, and interviews; develop and administer surveys (e.g., Qualtrics).
• Data Analysis: Analyze survey, interview, focus group, and observational data; organize and synthesize datasets; identify patterns and themes; summarize findings.
• Reporting & Communication: Develop clear reports for non-technical audiences; structure findings to support decision-making; document methods; validate findings with team; ensure accuracy and consistency.
