Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Evadale, TX is seeking entry-level General Service hourly labor positions for our paper mill. Performs assigned duties safely and efficiently, and works anywhere in the mill as assigned, with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of industrial experience or an associate degree. Must be safety-minded, a good communicator and team player.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ industrial experience or an associate degree in an industrial occupation.
• Reliable and able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Strong communication and computer skills are preferred.
• Safety minded, motivated, and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner within the paper mill.
• Work anywhere in the mill as assigned and be prepared for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Operate safely around large moving vehicles and equipment and wear required PPE.
• Participate in mill safety programs and accountability for own safety and coworkers.
