Job summary

Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking entry-level MIG Welders for a manufacturing facility in Flint, MI. You will weld carbon steel per blueprints, prepare materials, and operate overhead cranes and forklifts as part of daily production. A weld test is required to verify skills and safety compliance.

The role offers two shifts with pay: 1st shift $18.70/hr, 2nd shift $19.25/hr, plus a weekly attendance bonus of $1.50/hr. Eligibility for weekly pay and benefits is noted by Cardinal Staffing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements.
• Able to pass a hands-on MIG weld test.

Responsibilities

• Welding & Assembly: Lay out, position, assemble, and MIG weld carbon steel per blueprints and samples.
• Material Preparation: Clamp, grind, and position parts before welding.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate cranes and forklifts to move materials.
• Quality & Maintenance: Visually inspect welds and perform basic equipment maintenance.
