Job summary

Teak Isle Manufacturing in Florida seeks a mechanically inclined candidate for our metal fabrication team. This hands-on role uses computer-controlled equipment to bend and form aluminum into frames; no prior metal fabrication experience is required, as we will train the right person.

You will set up and operate machines, make adjustments for different jobs, measure parts, read drawings, and help maintain a safe, organized work environment while producing quality parts.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in working with machinery.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new equipment.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure, including fractions and decimals.
• Basic math skills and an understanding of measurements and angles.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility for producing quality work.
• Dependable, motivated, and able to work independently once trained.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate computer-controlled aluminum bending and forming equipment.
• Perform machine setups and adjustments for different production jobs, including small production runs.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure accurate dimensions and angles.
• Cut aluminum extrusions using appropriate equipment.
• Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Identify production issues and make adjustments to maintain quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with other manufacturing operations as needed.
