Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I in Saint Paul, MN. The role runs Monday to Wednesday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday and Friday 12:00 PM–8:30 PM. Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $42.63 per hour, with incentive components possible based on performance and organizational factors.

Education requirements include a BS in Medical Technology or related field; 1 year clinical experience preferred. The company offers extensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493

Responsibilities

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested as patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Follow policies and procedures when test systems are not within performance ranges.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting, correct the problems or notify supervisor.
