Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer in the Electronics business unit based in the Albany, NY metro area to work on HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. You’ll support design, development, evaluation and specification activities while gaining exposure to client expectations, scope, budget and schedule.

This hybrid role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, ability to report to the local office at least twice weekly, and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related major.
• Ability to report to the local office at least twice per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform and properly document engineering calculations.
• Develop drawings for equipment layouts and facility systems.
• Select equipment using standard sizing guidelines and specifications.
• Define scope, schedule and deliverables; coordinate information flow across teams.
• Assist with project delivery tasks including issue tracking and submittals.
