Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to participate in the design of mechanical building systems from schematics to construction administration. You will prepare detailed drawings and perform design calculations as part of an integrated design team that elevates the human experience through thoughtful design.

The role includes collaborating with architecture and structural teams, developing project objectives, and contributing to sustainable building initiatives.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Internship/co-op experience in a consulting engineering or A/E firm (preferred).
• Experience with BIM workflows (Autodesk Revit MEP) (preferred).
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (preferred).
• Interest in sustainable building design (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals and documentation policies.
• Develop mechanical designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate mechanical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
