Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to support design and drafting tasks at the BOMA Boston office in Boston, MA. You will develop skills in mechanical system design, modeling, and documentation while gaining exposure to codes and standards.

The role emphasizes learning Revit/AutoCAD, reading plans, and contributing to HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and energy modeling projects with project-team guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required or equivalent discipline.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain EIT.
• Internship experience preferred.
• Ability to develop understanding of Revit/AutoCAD, TRACE, IES.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Understand mechanical system design, modeling and documentation.
• Use Revit and AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
• Read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Support engineering distribution, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling.

What You'll Do

• Develop an understanding of mechanical system design, modeling and documentation
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools
• Grow in the ability to read plans
• Provide task-based support for engineering distribution, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling
• Develop an understanding of drawings, specifications, building codes, and mechanical industry standards
• Complete assigned work with instruction from project team members
• Assist with construction administration
• Perform mechanical calculations and performance simulations
• Design layout of mechanical systems
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We Offer

• Hiring Base Salary Range: $73,000 - $88,100 annual
• This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay
