Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural preferred).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Aptitude to interpret specifications.
• Fluent in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to obtain and use a PE license.

Responsibilities

• Complete or check structural calculations for equipment like pressure vessels, stacks, derrick structures, piping.
• Collaborate with engineering to provide technical support on structural items.
• Occasional travel to domestic and international locations for meetings or site visits.
• Deliver technical presentations on structural topics to colleagues.
• Serve as liaison with US and Global Location colleagues on structural topics.
• Coordinate with project execution to ensure designs use purchasable materials.
• Coordinate with drafting and manufacturing for fabricable designs.
• Assist Applications Engineers with structural topics for quotes.
• Provide efficient, clear reporting of structural design packages.
• Apply first principles to solve engineering challenges, identify waste, drive improvements.
