Job summary

Prestage Farms is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanics to join our night shift team. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain both gas and diesel vehicles to ensure they are fully functional.

This role requires strong eye-hand coordination, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems. A valid NC class C driver's license and a minimum age of 18 are required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Experience in automotive repair or related field is a plus.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and repairs.
• Willingness to learn new skills in automotive repair.
• Valid NC class C driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to lift/move materials up to 90 lbs.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair general gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems.
• Work independently and maintain a safe, orderly work area.
• Maintain and repair vehicles promptly.
• Follow company policies for vehicle repairs and safety.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both gas and diesel vehicles, to ensure that they are fully functional. This position requires a person that has good eye-hand coordination with excellent problem-solving abilities; as well as, knowledgeable in electronical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair of general automotive gasoline and diesel vehicles
• Preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, engine tune ups, etc
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a safe and orderly work area
• Maintain and repair vehicles in a timely manner
• Follow company policies and procedures for vehicle repairs and safety

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in automotive repair or related field is a plus
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and mechanical repairs
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills in automotive repair
• The ability to write, read, count, add, subtract, and apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Must possess a valid NC class C driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
• minimum age of 18
• must be able to lift/move materials/equipment's up to 90lbs.
