Job summary

Agave Transportation Services is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain light- and medium-duty trucks and CMVs. The role requires sandblasting and welding capabilities, with hands-on preventive maintenance and repair duties to keep fleets in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include inspections, parts replacement, lubrication, diagnostic reporting, and coordination with management for scheduled maintenance and upgrades.

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform maintenance on light-duty trucks and commercial motor vehicles. (CMV)

Must know how to Sandblast and how to weld.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on vehicles.
2. Thoroughly maintenances vehicles, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
3. Oils and lubricates moving parts on vehicles to ensure effective performance.
4. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
5. Installs replacement parts for vehicles.
6. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of vehicles.
7. Repairs broken down vehicles quickly and efficiently.
8. Prepares reports documenting work performed.
9. Keeps shop area clean and organized.
10. Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on vehicles.
11. Collaborates with shop manager or supervisor regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
12. Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with shop manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to vehicle as required.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
