Job summary

Holtec International in Orrville, OH is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician – Level I to perform routine chemical and mechanical analyses and assist with daily laboratory operations. You will generate, record, and report test results, following established procedures and maintaining documentation under supervision.

Responsibilities include supporting quality, production, and engineering teams, drafting procedures as directed, and ensuring a safe, organized lab.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Zero to three years of laboratory or manufacturing experience.
• Associate degree in a physical science or technical field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical and mechanical analyses per procedures.
• Record and report test results timely with proper documentation.
• Assist in drafting work instructions and procedures.
• Support adherence to laboratory documentation and quality rules.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and workspace.
• Notify supervisor of safety, productivity, or quality issues.
• Support material verification with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams.
• Assist with procuring supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Support general laboratory operations.
