Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our Fort Myers, FL team. This entry-level role offers paid training and the opportunity to learn under experienced professionals in a dynamic field environment.

You will conduct material testing and sampling on site, receive training in ECS methods, and advance your career with industry certifications as you grow. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Must operate a motor vehicle safely and follow laws and company policies.
• Willing to develop knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials on project sites under guidance.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using standard methods.
• Data Collection: Compute calculations and data reduction from tests and inspections.
• Communication: Maintain daily contact with site contractors and project managers; report changes.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodologies and document findings precisely.
