Job summary

Magna International's Cosma division in California is seeking a skilled engineer to lead manufacturing process optimization within BIW assembly. You will apply statistical methods, analyze production data, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to improve quality and cost efficiency.

The role requires a technical degree or 10 years automotive experience, strong CatiaV4/V5 skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in technical related discipline or 10 years automotive experience.
Understand die processes, tooling, welding, CMM, datum alignment, data reporting.
Strong computer skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Apply statistical methods to determine manufacturing processes, staff and standards.
Coordinate quality control objectives to maximize reliability and minimize cost.
Confer with vendors and management on purchases, specs, capabilities, status.
Draft layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Review production schedules and engineering specs to learn methods.
Communicate with management to develop production and design standards.
Estimate production cost and impact of design changes for management review.
