Job summary

IMI plc seeks an entry-level Manufacturing Technician I to perform defined, repeatable assembly and packaging tasks under supervision. The role emphasizes strict adherence to safety, quality, documentation, and standard work. Onsite position supporting shift-based production in Palmer, MA.

The role builds foundational manufacturing knowledge, with training and supervision until qualified for assigned operations. Strong emphasis on teamwork across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; demonstrated ability to understand work instructions, basic measurements, and production records may be considered.
• Ability to read basic English work instructions and labels, count accurately, perform simple arithmetic, and use basic hand tools after training.
• Foundational knowledge of workplace safety, quality-at-the-source, and documentation expectations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
• Perform simple manual assembly, labeling, and packaging tasks with approved tools.
• Verify part identity, revision, quantity, and lot status before use.
