Job summary

Aerotek in Hugo, MN is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Assembler to build wall panels, trusses, floors, and other structural components in a clean indoor facility. This contract-to-hire role offers hands-on training, teamwork, and steady overtime.

You’ll read tape measurements, operate hand and power tools, and learn trade skills through structured training and on-the-job coaching. Prior carpentry or construction exposure is welcome, with lifting up to 75 lb and 50 hrs/week possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and pass a tape measure assessment.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience using power tools, nail guns, saws, or similar equipment.
• Experience with hand and power tools in manufacturing, construction, assembly, or mechanical environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, production-driven environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work overtime, averaging up to 50 hours per week.
• Must provide or purchase required basic tools (tool belt, tape measure, utility knife).

Responsibilities

• Assemble wall panels, floor systems, roof trusses, stairs, and other structural components.
• Read and use tape measurements accurately.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, nail guns, table saws and related equipment.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and craftsmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Participate in training and ongoing skill development programs.
• Support production schedules, including overtime as needed.
