Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support daily property upkeep and learn foundational maintenance tasks. The role focuses on cleaning, grounds care, and assisting with light repairs to prepare apartments for new residents.

The position is ideal for individuals beginning a hands-on career in property maintenance, offering training, teamwork, and opportunities to grow within the community management environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance, repair or HVAC is preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning and pickup of debris or trash throughout the property per company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of breezeways and sidewalks including pressure washing; keep receptacles clean and free of large items.
• Repair and restore vacant apartments to make ready status for next move-in; assist with lock changes and fixture replacements.
• Light painting of curbs, signposts, and other areas; maintain shop to facilitate inventory checks.
• Assist with resident communications, pool maintenance, and general team support to maintain a professional, friendly environment.

Education

High School or GED equivalent

Valid Driver's License

1 year maintenance/repair/HVAC experience (preferred)
