Job summary

Compass Group USA, through its Canteen division, is seeking an entry-level maintenance technician for a full-time role in Tampa, FL. The position involves performing maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems at client locations, along with preventative maintenance on ice machines.

Training is provided to support skill development. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with a fixed pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on repairs and reports major problems.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Cleans, services, and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Maintains logs, completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other team members.
