Son's Island Getaways in Texas is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to keep our parks running smoothly. This position is seasonal and can be full-time or part-time, offering practical on-the-job training and variety across carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and grounds care.

Pay ranges from $12 to $17 per hour, and you will report to the Facilities Manager. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, safety, and reliability to ensure our guest experiences remain seamless.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a trade (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC).
• Trade certifications desired but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills for work order management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the property and equipment daily for maintenance issues.
• Perform basic carpentry repairs (doors, windows, decks, fencing).
• Drywall patching and painting as needed.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Basic plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, drains, water heaters).
• HVAC filter changes and basic troubleshooting.
• Pool and waterpark equipment monitoring.
• Golf cart maintenance and repairs.
• General grounds maintenance and upkeep.
• Update Facilities Manager on work order status.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Report inventory needs for supplies and parts.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
