Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc in New York is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities under supervision. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting and supports daily operations.

Candidate should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to read schematics. You will work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools, participate in preventative maintenance, and collaborate with other departments to keep

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of maintenance/repair experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to use hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other small tools safely.
• Ability to read basic machine schematics with little guidance.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment under direct supervision.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment using various tools.
• Follow OSHA requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Share information with supervisor and team members clearly.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
• Organize parts and materials efficiently.
• Lift/move parts weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall success.
