Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company in Spicewood, Texas, seeks a General Maintenance technician for entry-level work on heavy equipment and plant systems. Under supervision, you will assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs while learning safety and technical procedures.

You will work with a maintenance team to support conveyor systems, pumps, crushers, and related equipment, following MSHA and OSHA rules, and maintaining accurate service logs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn mechanical and safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety rules is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components and wear parts.
• Perform minor structural repairs using welding, cutting, and grinding tools.
• Adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations and LO/TO protocols.
• Observe plant areas to identify anomalies and assist with adjustments.
• Record service logs and maintenance records for equipment.
