Hyatt Regency Baytown is hiring an Entry-Level General Maintenance Engineer to handle routine repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back‑of‑house areas. You will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1–2 years in building maintenance, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent.
• Flexible work availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tower tours during shift, check lobby lights and room corridors.
• Keep hotel grounds clean and maintain designated work areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics when needed and document work performed.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and log all work in maintenance records.
