Job summary

JBT Marel in Memphis is seeking an entry-level Operator, Machinist to join the area team responsible for the efficient production of quality parts. You will work with lathes and mills, ensuring parts meet specifications and following procedures.

After an initial day shift training, this position will transition to a night shift schedule of Monday through Thursday, 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., with emphasis on safety, teamwork and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Completion of Apprenticeship program or Technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, edit and operate lathes and mills.
• Apply Rotary or Indexing for Vertical/Horizontal Machine Centers.
• Operate equipment safely with proper feed and speed.
• Troubleshoot to root cause and perform repairs as needed.
• Assist maintenance with preventive maintenance.
• Review production schedules and follow work instructions.
