Job summary

Apex Water and Process is seeking a Production Assistant - Machining in Chanhassen, MN. This entry-level, hands-on role supports machining operations by completing finishing and secondary operations on custom-machined plastic components.

Responsibilities include deburring, drilling, tapping, cutting, inspecting parts, and assisting with training while aiming for quality and continuous improvement. The role offers growth opportunities and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, engineering drawings and SDSs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and colleagues.
• Willingness to wear PPE and learn Apex quality objectives.
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds unassisted.
• Willing to cross-train and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Finish machined parts to specifications.
• Utilize inspection equipment to check product quality.
• Improve quality and cost of finished machined products.
• Maintain external quality expectations.
• Follow production schedule for on-time deliveries.
• Perform secondary machining operations (e.g., deburring).
• Provide input on work instructions as required.
• Inspect own work and that of others.
• Cross-train and assist training of others.
• Work overtime when required to support customer demand.
