Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production machinery in a manufacturing environment. You will use computerized controls to position machines and adjust settings, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.

The role requires attention to quality and adherence to safety protocols. The position emphasizes cross-training across Operator I roles, following work instructions, and maintaining equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Responsibilities

• Basic operation of simple machinery and equipment, such as presses, lathes, or cutters.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures for setting up and operating machines.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines.
• Familiarity with reading simple work orders or production instructions.
• Producing and ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications.
• Attention to detail to ensure machine operation is accurate and products meet basic quality standards.
• Basic problem-solving ability to identify and report machine malfunctions.
• Must be cross-trained and able to support all Operator I roles.
